Doggie Heaven!

We had to give Binky lots of extra cuddles today because we were all very sad that Jessie had to go and chase rabbits in doggy heaven. Apparently that’s where all the really, really old dogs go. I’m glad Binky’s only a puppy cause we want to keep him forever. He’s the best doggy and we have lots of playtimes together. He watches be when I’m on the swings and I squeal when mummy and daddy and me chase him round the house! He’s my best friend and will be forever cause he’s the best dog in the world. He get’s a bit jealous when I go to granny and grandpa’s house cause then I like cats but when I get home I remember that I like black dogs best of all!

Bathroom Bliss!

Daddy has been busy being Bob the Builder again. I know this because I have had to have a bath in my old baby bath (pah!) for a week now while daddy and Jim have been drilling and hammering in the proper bathroom. It took a long time to sort out – I got so bored, I even managed to fall asleep while they were drilling one day! but now we have a shiny new bathroom which mummy says looks like a fancy hotel…. I’m almost afraid to splash too much! (Who am I kidding – nothing will stop me from drenching mummy and daddy at bathtime!!) I’ve even got a little holder for my big girl toothbrush now which I was excited about but mummy seemed more excited about the new shower – she’s an odd one!

Today I had some special visitors – I hadn’t seen them in so long, I’d almost forgotten what they looked like…. but they came bearing gifts so I forgave them! It was Granny and Grandpa!!! They had been to the other side of the world with Auntie Eva and they didn’t get lost on the way back either. They went to a place called Thailand and then somewhere else called Vietnam and had lots of fun – I think they only go so Auntie Eva can take funny pictures of Grandpa in a skirt!!!

They brought me back lots and lots of presents but my favorite present was a dancing Hello Kitty! that dances just like I do when I want to get somewhere. It jiggles and joggles and wiggles it’s bottom until you finished laughing which keeps me entertained for hours!!

Today I spent another day with Heather – she’s my pretend mummy when my real mummy has to go to work. I have lots of fun at Heather’s with her little girl Hannah and her friend Josh, he likes watching Brum! which isn’t a patch on Little Einsteins but it keeps us all entertained. Watching them run around makes me laugh lots! Today, I was allowed to play with the big girl pens and I drew mummy and daddy a picture of Binky, only I ran out of black so Binky was pink and yellow! Mummy and Daddy were so proud of me and put my picture up on the fridge so that everyone who comes to see us can see my picture!

Ikea Like It!

I’ve decided that I’m far too old for the likes of play gyms and cots now so I have instructed the parental units to get me some stylish furniture! Me and mummy and daddy went out to buy me a nice comfy chair today and we say in all the chairs in the shop until I found one that I liked. It’s got lions and tigers on it just like my bedroom! Daddy tried to sit in my chair when I wasn’t looking but his bottom was too big! Oh Dear!

I have also discovered that I like beanbags. There’s a great big ladybird beanbag in the library that me and mummy went to and I sat on it for ages and chose lots of books to read. Then I made mummy push me up the hill with all those heavy books in the bottom of the buggy – tee hee hee!

Oooh, my teeth are still tingling! Me and mummy ate my first ice lolly today! I did try to explain it was the widdle of minter but she was having none of it and I agreed! I liked it an awful lot and have decided that I want ice cream with every meal now…. mummy keeps talking about Ben & Jerrys…… I wonder if that’s any good?!

Fireworks and Frolics!

Well, it seems I have made it to the end of my very first calendar year. I am exceptionally grown up now, turned 7 months the day before yesterday – daddy says I’ll have grey hairs like his soon… I’d be happy with some hair, I don’t mind what colour it is!

I really, really wanted to stay up until midnight and see all the fireworks there would be (I was far too much of a baby to stay up on Bonfire night so thought I would make up for it tonight) but, try as I might, I was face down in the donut and snoring before 7pm rolled around! So who knows what next year will bring… first steps? …first words? ….my first million? Only time will tell!

Xtra Special Xmas!

Well I have to say that my first Christmas was a most memorable one – if only for all the yummy food I managed to eat. I think I had as many roast potatoes as daddy! Although I steered clear of the Christmas Pudding as I think Grandpa may have put some grown up milk in it!

I think us babies get the best deal at Christmas cause we don’t do any hard work in the kitchen and yet we get the most presents!! Brilliant!

I was disappointed as there was no carol singing in the village on Christmas Eve this year and mummy and daddy had told me all about how wonderful it was last year. We did manage to track Santa on-line though, which daddy says I will appreciate a little more in a few years!

Where’s Mummy Gone?!

Hmmmm… something is amiss in monkey world. We all got up on Monday morning and had milk like normal and then I went back to bed for a bit and…. when I got up…. mummy was gone, disappeared, vanished – what was going on?!

I wasn’t very happy but then daddy sat me down and explained that from now on, mummy has to go back to work and so there will be whole days that I have to look after daddy. Well, I hope I get a pay rise out of all this, well an extra rusk every now and again at least!!!

Well it was jolly cold but me and daddy started doing the chores that mummy normally does and I think we did really well and the whole house was all clean when she got home. I think mummy must have bought new make up because by the time it was bedtime, she had great big black rings under her eyes – I don’t think that’s a good look for her!

Just a quick note before I go to bed to let you all know that I had my first proper sitting up bath today and played lots with mummy and daddy in the bubbles. Lots of fun was had by all!!!
